I have noticed that down in the lower right where Outlook shows "Connected" when you first open Outlook there is another bar right next to it for a split second that says "Syncronizing Inbox". If you close Outlook and reopen it will again pull any new emails. When you first initially open Outlook it will pull in all new email into the inbox. Here is what I found does work but I don't understand why or how to fix. Even doing manual Send/Receive it won't pull in new emails (even tried update folder, send/receive groups select inbox specifically). I have also made sure that the Inbox is "subscribed". I have even tested this in Outlook Safe Mode and it still happens. I have ran all Windows Updates and Office Updates. I have even setup a completely new profile from scratch and still have the same issue so it isn't a local profile related problem in Outlook. I have checked the ISP's recommended settings for setup in Outlook and all is correct. I have watched the OWA of their email at the same time and it receives the email very quickly. If they do make it, it can be 20+ minutes or longer. The problem is new emails rarely seem to sync to the inbox in Outlook. I have a client's PC with Windows 7 Pro, Office H&B 2016, they have their email setup via IMAP to their email account which is hosted by their ISP. Ok I have an issue I have not run into before.
